AKRAM KHATOON

Akram Khatoon started her career lecturing in Sukkur, Sindh. She joined banking as a training officer for the State Bank of Pakistan’s officer training scheme. She was one of the fifty successful candidates from West Pakistan out of a total of 1600 candidates. She has a banking diploma from the Diploma Associate Institute of Bankers Pakistan (DAIBP). She has been serving the banking sector for the last 41 years. Prior to her appointment as CEO of First Woman Bank, she served Muslim Commercial Bank for 28 years in different senior management positions. She had the privilege of initiating women’s banking on a global scale by heading Muslim Commercial Bank’s first all-women branch in the early days of her career. Her last assignment at Muslim Commercial Bank was as chief of the recruitment and training division at head office. She has been a council member for the Institute of Bankers in Pakistan and a member of the board of governors for NIPA Karachi. She remained on the executive committee of the Pakistan Banks’ Association till her retirement. Before being appointed as the president of First Women Bank, she was interviewed by the interior minister of the time, Major-General Naseerullah Khan Babar.

MAHTAB AKBAR RASHDI

Mehtab Akbar Rashdi did her MA in Political Science from the University of Sindh and then went to the United States, where she completed her master’s and specialized in the area of International Relations. She is a very cool-tempered person who likes reading and has her own collection. Her areas of interest are Urdu, English, and Sindhi literature.

Mehtab was the youngest and first woman from her family to go abroad. She was surprised to realize her own potential. In Pakistan, Mehtab, also used to do radio programmes while teaching at the university. Mehtab Rashidi’s first job was as a teacher at Submarine School in Hyderabad. Later on, Mehtab started teaching at Sindh University. Mehtab started doing programmes on the radio in Pakistan.

In 1981, she married Akbar Rashidi, a bureaucrat. Later, she herself joined the bureaucracy and started heading several departments, including education, information, and culture. In 2004, the President of Pakistan awarded her the Pride of Performance for her services. She is currently on the board of Hum Network Ltd and the National Academy of Performing Arts.

PROF. RABIA TAUSIF

Prof. Rabia Tausif is a very experienced principal with invaluable experience in management and administration of college activities, having been associated with the Education Department for more than 38 years. She is highly focused and has comprehensive knowledge of running an educational institute, focusing on discipline, and providing a safe and healthy environment to the students. A quick and accurate decision maker with the ability to anticipate the impact of decisions and plan how to manage risks and get along with a large number of teaching and non-teaching staff members Having exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills, all of which are imperative when working as an administrator of an institution, as well as excellent counselling, listening, and general communication skills.
